The Commission for Social Care Inspection consulted widely on its future Corporate Plan and programme for modernising regulation, Inspecting for Better Lives. The development of all new methodologies involves users and stakeholders.

Annual health check

The Healthcare Commission is signed up to the Cabinet Office guidance on consultation. The Commission recently consulted on its new annual health check. The proposals were subject to a 12- week consultation period. 300 events were held with nearly 6000 delegates, including patients and the public. The responses were analysed and the feedback used to make revisions to the approach.
