Implementation programme
The Healthcare Commission has developed a programme to prioritise its implementation of the Concordat. The priorities will be refined following completion of the annual review and are:
- to promote and raise awareness of the Concordat ensuring there is a good level of understanding and knowledge of the objectives and practices so that it impacts on working practices, the way we do business and the way we relate to partner organisations
- to ensure the annual healthcheck governance structure incorporates processes to check Concordat compliance from strategy to delivery
- to ensure implementation of the Concordat is monitored and reflected in the Healthcare Commission’s performance management systems
- to identify the capacity and capability required for the Healthcare Commission to sustain long term progress as the lead regulator for coordinating and delivering the Concordat strategy
