Practice 7.3 Complaints and appeals process
Examples of notable practice:
Published complaints procedures
A number of concordat signatories publicise their processes for handling complaints and appeals. For example:
- the Audit Commission publishes Something to Complain about? (pdf 321kb) which outlines how to complain about the Audit Commission or its appointed auditors
- the NHS Litigation Authority has processes in place to manage complaints about its assessments and/or appeals regarding the outcome. These arrangements are included in the standards manuals and published on the NHSLA website.
- the Health and Safety Executive publishes What to Expect when a Health and Safety Inspector Calls (opens new window), which contains details of its complaints and appeals process.
