Stakeholder Event - 5th July 2007
The stakeholder event was aimed at bringing together representatives from NHS and independent sector organisations, Concordat signatories, the Department of Health and Better Regulation Executive. The focus will be to discuss and agree further action to be taken to improve coordination and collaboration to reduce the duplication, overlap and contradictory findings of regulation. Specifically, this event is aimed at:
- Understanding the scope and nature of the problem from a provider perspective
- Advising progress to date made by Concordat signatories, including future plans for implementation
- Consulting with providers on the recently agreed success measures for the Concordat
- Identifying priorities for joint working to be implemented by Concordat signatories at national and local levels
- Identifying priorities for action to be implemented by the Department of Health and Better Regulation Executive
- Exploring ways of engaging and involving providers in the ongoing development and implementation of the Concordat work programme
- Identifying ways of engaging and involving providers, patients and the public in monitoring implementation of the Concordat and testing achievement of the success measures
- Identifying next steps and actions to maintain progress following the stakeholder event
